One of the key industrial customers along the Golden Subdivision in Arvada, CO is Rocky Mountain Bottling, located near MP 9.6 just off the main track. This facility regularly receives rail cars loaded with glass cullet, sand, and slag for use in its bottling and recycling operations. Much of the cullet originates from recycling centers and is brought in on hoppers that were formerly deployed in coal service, including glass from the Killbuck Southern in Ohio.

These hopper cars, repurposed for bulk glass and aggregate transport, are a common sight on the subdivision and reflect the broader adaptability of older coal service equipment for new industrial uses. In fact, the Arvada Western Railroad will also lease coal hoppers from the Killbuck Southern as required, integrating them into Commache Coal service as availability and demand align. These leased cars frequently from the Killbuck Southern railroad and move as part of the unit coal trains originating out of Georgetown, CO.
